Why does a conductor wave his hands so much? Why does he sometimes have a baton and sometimes not? Can an orchestra do without a conductor? Vasiliy Valitov, conductor of the Nikolayev Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, will speak about the secrets of his profession and teach to understand the conductor’s sign language. The guests of the Fest will be able to listen to the orchestra sitting among the musicians and see that “on the inside” the instruments sound in a different way, and then play the part of one of the instruments. The visitors will also be able to test for the role of the conductor.
